Ameripaca is a Proud Supporter/Organizer of the 1st Annual ALPACARAMA

The alpaca industry is vibrant and robust. Alpaca breeders are able to market their alpacas in a number of ways. There are auctions, which support and even raise the price of animals. There are shows, where farms are able to showcase their breeding programs.

Now, a large group of Maryland breeders have combined efforts to create a new type of event. It is designed to be a benefit to the entire alpaca industry; including new and established breeders, small and large farms, and is open to all breeders. We call this event "ALPACARAMA™," and envision it as an annual festival weekend with a 'Show and Sell' as its centerpiece. The weekend will include a halter show. Every alpaca participating in the show must be for sale. Farms participating in the show are limited to a maximum of 4 alpacas to show and sell. With this format we will have a good venue for established farms, and a wonderful opportunity for new breeders and smaller farms.

Don't have 4 high-quality alpacas to sell at this time? We'll have a share-a-pen system so that you can show 1, 2, or 3. Not ready to sell this year? Sponsor and event so that everyone will remember you for next year!

In addition to the show and pen sales, there will be a fun and educational day with seminars and lectures, obstacle classes, a fleece show, special show divisions like 'dam and cria,' a Maryland crab feast and more. You won't have to worry about the weather--Alpacarama is being held in the elegant, climate-controlled, 35,000-sq.ft. indoor Show Place Arena.
