It is with mixed
emotions that I put Truffles in the Breeder’s Choice
Auction. While she fulfills the very high-end requirements
for this event, I really wanted to keep her!
Probably the most
outstanding characteristic of Truffles is her head. It is
wedge-shaped, has plenty of well-locked fleece, and a full
beard. Beautiful heads run in the family with Truffles –
on both sides of her strong pedigree. Truffles is from the
Pop Tart line, the Uribe line, the Cortez line, and the Maximillan
line. Besides her head, you’ll notice she has excellent
luster and coverage in a beautiful, somewhat uncommon, shade
of brown.
Truffles II was named
after her maternal grand dam, Truffles, Pop Tart’s second
cria. Pop Tart was Steve and Gail’s favorite alpaca and
the highest selling female at the 1995 Friendship Sale. She
has been a critical part of the Ameripaca suri foundation
herd..
