“Oh mairzy doats and dozy doats and little lambsy divey
A kiddle divey, too. Wouldn’t you?

If the words sound queer and funny to your ear,
A little bit jumbled and jivey.
Say, Mares eat oats and does eat oats
And little lambs eat ivy.”

Like the above song, from which we picked Mairzy Doats name, this lot is a bit unusual, adorable, and unforgettable.

You don’t often see a package like this one: two beautiful females and another cria on the way! Maritza is a light fawn Quetzel daughter with a female Poseidon cria by side. We liked her daughter, Mairzy Doats, so much that we repeated the breeding. Maritza is due 5/19/2007.

Maritza was shown once and won 1st Place at the 2003 Alpacarama Show. She has soft, fine fleece with a low amplitude crimp. Maritza has a perfect health record – she weighed 16.4 lbs. at birth, had an IgG of 1,192 and had steady weight gains until she was weaned at 84 lbs. She is also an easy breeder; she conceived on the first breeding three years in a row!

Maritza’s cria, Mairzy Doats, is as cute as the song she was named after. She has a short muzzle and abundant face wool (typical of Poseidon crias), and beautiful crimpy fleece in a peachy fawn color. Like her dam, Mairzi Doats has an exemplary health record. Her birth weight was 16.1 lbs., she had an IgG of 1,853, and weighed 31.5 lbs. at one month of age. Mairzy Doats will be a perfect age for showing next year. With a June birthday, she’ll still compete in juvenile classes as one of the oldest females in the class.
