Ameripaca and Magical Farms would like to thank everyone who attended in person, by telephone, or who watched the live feed over the internet for helping to make the 2005 Breeder's Choice Auction the best one yet!

Check in was on Friday for Attendees who brought alpacas to compete in the Customer Appreciation Futurity. Some farms also brought their farm displays for presentation to the many visitors who attend the Breeder's Choice looking for information on the alpaca industry.

Margaritaville was the visual theme for this year's event. Total attendance at the auction was over 1,000 people. Food and fun were had by all!

Plenty of time was allowed on Friday and Saturday for buyers to do their own hands-on inspection of the alpacas they wished to bid on.

The Ameripaca staff was present to help field questions about each of the 22 alpacas we offered in this year's auction.

Just before the auction, the previewing pens were all a buzz! Bidder's took one last look at the alpaca they were shortly to bid on.

At auction time, the barn was packed! Over 1,000 people were in attendance, with an additional 70 who watched the entire auction via a live web presentation!

Ameripaca and Magical Farms offered 84 of their premium alpacas for sale at the auction plus 2 lots from Magical Farms whose sales were donated to support AOBA Marketing. Ameripaca's Accoyo Emerald Cut sold for a world record $180,000!

Huacaya and suri alpacas were sold in every color including white, fawn, brown, dark brown, black, rose grey, and silver grey--all from premium bloodlines!

The Futurity was held on Sunday for offspring of Ameripaca and Magical Farms' herdsires. Over $68,000 in prize money was awarded to the winners.

Many of the Futurity winners and champions were purchased the night before at the Breeder's Choice Auction--another testament to the quality of the alpacas that were sold.
