Abril--Female Cria
Born: 6/16/2002

DAM: DDF Apolonia

Don't miss this 3-for-1 doozie! This 1/2 Accoyo, full Peruvian female has a Peruvian female cria by side and is bred back to an Accoyo herdsire!

Apolonia is sired by the famous Torbio, a white Accoyo herdsire with so many blue ribbon and champion offspring that he sold for a world record for white suris of $160,000 at the 2001 Breeder's Choice Auction!

Apolonia has a gorgeous, full Peruvian female cria at her side, Abril. Abril has brilliant, tight locks consistent throughout her fleece. She is also one of the friendliest crias on the farm (she always runs up to greet out guests). If she were staying at Ameripaca, Abril would be destined for our 2003 show string. Abril is sired by Ricardo, a medium brown, Peruvian suri herdsire. Ricardo is also sire to Minnie, a multiple Champion, medium brown suri female with unbelievable coverage who sold at the 2001 Breeder's Choice Auction to David & Nancy TenHulzen. Abril will be eligible for the 2003 Breeder's Choice Futurity.

Apolonia is currently breeding to Santiago, a big-boned, full Accoyo herdsire. He is very upright with outstanding conformation and great suri style. Santiago's offspring have done well in the show ring: Illusion (owned by Bill & Mary Pearce) won 1st Place at the 2002 All American Futurity, Chantilly Lace (owned by David & Nancy TenHulzen) won 1st Place at the 2001 AOBA National Show, and Barnabus (owned by Ameripaca) won 2nd Place at the 2002 Eastern Alpaca Jubilee. So we have great expectations for the cria that Apolonia is carrying (3/4 Accoyo)!
