 Shearing Week

Last week Ameripaca had Mark Loffhagen and his team come in and Shear the alpacas.  Mark is owner and operator of Alley-Pac and has been shearing our alpacas for 10 plus years.  He lives in Colorado and travels all over the United States during shearing season.  The first two days of shearing,  over 200 alpacas were shorn.  The third day, we invite clients to bring their alpacas in for shearing.  

 Ameripaca’s total snowfall since December is 79.9 inches.  Snowdrifts were up to 5-6 foot in some areas on the farm.  This is the most snow we’ve had since record keeping began in Baltimore in 1893.  The previous record, from 1995-96, was 62.5 inches.
