Our
Herdsires At Ameripaca, we've made a huge investment in quality with over 60 premium herdsires from Peruvian, Bolivian, & Chilean bloodlines. And we're not just talking about calling every male born on our farm a "herdsire." In fact, only about 5% of the males born at Ameripaca are retained as herdsires—a testament to our very rigorous screening criteria. As a result, we are consistently producing some very fine alpacas with excellent genetic diversity (if we do say so ourselves). We think our standards are unsurpassed in the industry, and invite you to come see our offspring. You can take advantage of our years of experience by adding one (or two, or three...) of our offspring to your herd. In addition, wiith our high-quality breeding stock, large herd size, and sufficient purchasing power, we continually introduce new sires--purchased and bred--to our breeding program to “upgrade” and diversify our own genetic base. In the past year alone, we’ve added 15 premium males to our herdsire row and also have sold some of our finest males! This keeps our genetic pool diverse, and allows our customers a chance to purchase their favorite males.
