Ameripaca Alpacas to be Auctioned:

LOT 53

Catarina

Suri Female
ARI# 819350
Born: 5/12/2000

SIRE: Acero Marka's Harry Brown
DAM: Crimson's Peruvian Cocheta

Catarina is a beautiful light fawn, 1/2 Peruvian yearling. Her dam, Cocheta, has great suri phenotype and is being sold with her male cria, Cochise, in this Auction as Lot#28. Catarina is sired by Harry Brown, a very dark mahogany, fine penciled, suri herdsire with black ears and feet. Harry Brown really stands out in the field with his unusual color and strong suri phenotype. One of his offspring purchased at the 2000 Breeder's Choice Auction won Champion Juvenile White at the 2001 AOBA National Show. Catarina will be ready to breed in November 2001. We will be happy to take her back to Ameripaca after the Auction for a free breeding to the Ameripaca herdsire of your choice (35 suri herdsires to choose from). Futurity Pre-Registered.

HOT NEWS! Catarina won 2nd Place Light Fawn Yearling Female at the September 2001 Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts! Another one of Catarina's sire's offspring, Garnet, won 2nd Place Medium Brown Juvenile Female!

LOT 55

Keely

Suri Female
ARI# 822487
Born: 10/20/2000

SIRE: Acero Marka's Chasqui
DAM: HCL Bolivian Kirsten

Keely has inherited the best qualities from her sire and dam: her stretch, style, coverage, and beautiful head from her sire, and her lustrous, uniform locked fleece from her dam. Not only does she exhibit strong suri phenotype, but she is also very cute and quite loveable. She is sired by Chasqui, a white herdsire who won First Place in a very large group at the 1997 AOBA Conference in Pueblo, Colorado and First Place at the 1997 Fiber Fest. Chasqui is such a striking and photogenic male that we have used him in many of Ameripaca's national ads. Chasqui is a Pop Tart son, and for the first time, we will be selling Pop Tart's offspring at this Auction. Keely is a Pop Tart granddaughter, as is Marmie (Lot 9). Keely is ready to breed in April 2002 to one of Ameripaca's 35 suri herdsires. If you choose to show Keely at the 2002 Eastern Alpaca Jubilee, we will happily transport her from that show back to Ameripaca for a free breeding. Futurity Pre-Registered.

HOT NEWS! Keely won 1st Place Beige Yearling and competed as an offspring of Chasqui as he won 1st Place Get-of-Sire at the September 2001 Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts!

LOT 57

Rosalee

Suri Female
ARI# 825196
Born: 7/8/2000

SIRE: Acero Marka's George
DAM: Acero Marka's Roseanne

Rosalee is a full Bolivian, light fawn female with an extremely sweet disposition. She is out of two white suri parents who both possess great suri characteristics: tight pencil lock structure and luster in their fleece. Her dam, Roseanne, has been a great producer for us: 3 females and one male to date. George, her sire, continues to produce show winning offspring both in Canada and the United States. Rosalee possesses an outstanding suri head and wonderful coverage. Rosalee sells with a free breeding to the herdsire of your choice. After Sunday's futurity, we'd be happy to transport her back to Ameripaca for her free breeding. Futurity Pre-Registered.

LOT 59

Aristocrat

Jr. Herdsire
ARI #821825
Born: 9/28/2000

SIRE: Acero Marka's Harry Brown
DAM: Acero Marka's Alexandra

Aristocrat is a future suri herdsire with a strong suri presence. He sports one of the łtypiest˛ suri heads on the farm which he should pass on to his offspring. He has always been very healthy and strong, showing an excellent IgG of 2685 at two days of birth. Aristocrat obtains his blue ribbon genetics from both sides of the family. He is sired by Harry Brown, a very dark mahogany, fine-penciled, suri herdsire with black ears and feet. Harry Brown also sired Ameripaca's Emily, who won Champion White Juvenile at the 2001 AOBA National Show. (Emily was purchased by Lona Frank at the 2000 Breeder's Choice Auction. ) With gorgeous, dense fleece, very nice curly pencil locks, and great coverage, Aristocrat's dam, Alexandra, is an integral part of Ameripaca's suri foundation breeding stock. Aristocrat's brother Alexander (Alexandra's 1999 cria) won First Place at the 2000 AOBA National Conference. Even though he is young, we think Aristocrat will be breeding soon. Both his father and his maternal brother settled females before their second birthday. Futurity Pre-Registered.

HOT NEWS! Aristocrat's sire, Harry Brown, had two offspring place 2nd at the September 2001 Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts!

LOT 63

Mortisha

Huacaya Female
ARI# 816257
Born: 4/9/2000

SIRE: Bolivian
DAM: HCL Bolivian Morgan

Mortisha is a beautiful, blue black huacaya. Her fleece has very good density with a soft hand, as well as an incredibly rich black color. Her dam, Morgan, is a true black with outstanding coverage and good density. Mortisha is currently being bred to Titanium, a full Peruvian, silver grey herdsire out of two gray Peruvian parents. All of his offspring are grey, even when bred to black females. One of his daughters, Paisley, won Reserve Champion and First Place at the 2001 Eastern Alpaca Jubilee. (Paisley is owned by Diane Beaver of Alpaca Ventures.) Titanium is one of the favorite huacaya herdsires on the Ameripaca farm, not only because of his excellent fleece and outstanding conformation, but because he has a very sweet personality.
